I've renovated my 20 year old apartment fully by myself... Struggle with caulk every damn time. Hate it.

Don't you need to remove the old caulk?

Tip: tape the sides when using caulk for the first time. Try on something like cardboard first and use tools to smothen the surface (i think, you can get them where you get the caulk) Moat important: remove the old residue before starting, don't use a kitchen knife, use the designated tools you can get at any hardware store. (I'm was a roofer in germany for over 3 years, so i had to usw a lot of caulk in my time at the job. Trust me:))

Hun if you say you don't need DIY skills then I must be completely inept cause I STRUGGLE with caulk

I have watched so many videos and managed to do the chair rail in my bathroom since there were mostly inner corners that I had to use a coping saw on (which I could only understand after watching a British man explain it 😂). Following your advice, I now have 4 templates, 45 degrees left and right, and 22.5 degrees left and right. I can now understand what I am doing, especially since the room has many angles and corners. You are wonderful.

So for the closet rods, you just drilled directly into the aurdal closet side panel? I have the same issue where I’ll need to use specialized wooden closet rods cut to size because the closet is too narrow for the included metal/adjustable closet rods.

next time, remove the grass first. The best way is to solarize the area by covering it with CLEAR plastic for a month or so (depending on the climate). The sun will basically bake the grass to death- roots and all. I have seen people do this with the bags of mulch they plan on eventually using once their beds are planted out. This may take a bit longer since the sun cant do it's baking trick but it'll still work.
